Top-ranked Un­der-16 play­er and na­tion­al cham­pi­on Aal­isha Alex­is cap­tured the girls' sin­gles ti­tle when the Sub Re­gion­al (SR)4 Un­der-16 Ten­nis Mas­ters Fi­nals con­clud­ed at the Na­tion­al Rack­et Cen­tre, Or­ange Grove Road, Tacarigua on Sun­day.

In an all-T&T de­cider, Alex­is pow­ered past Keesa Lee Young 6-2, 6-4.

In the semi­fi­nals, Lee Young de­feat­ed An­tigua and Bar­bu­da's Kian­na King 6-1, 6-2 and Lee Young bat­tled past Bar­ba­di­an Ser­e­na Bryan 5-7, 6-1, 10-8.

Ethan Wong came up short in his bid to make it a T&T sin­gles sweep af­ter he fell to Bar­ba­di­an Stephen Slo­combe 5-7, 2-6 in the boys' fi­nal.

On Sat­ur­day in the semi­fi­nals, Slo­combe beat lo­cal play­er Shae Milling­ton 3-6, 6-1, 10-3 while Wong out­last­ed fel­low T&T play­er, Se­bas­t­ian Byng 6-1, 4-6, 10-3.

Slo­combe was the lone play­er to win the triple-crown af­ter he paired with Ser­e­na Bryan to beat Aila Koorndijk and Yan­nick Is­sa, in the Mixed Dou­bles fi­nal.

This af­ter he won the Boys Dou­bles' with Is­sa, 2-6, 6-4, 10-4 against Wong and Se­bas­t­ian Sylvester on Sat­ur­day.
