Trinidad and To­ba­go's for­ward Levi Gar­cia is now of­fi­cial­ly a Spar­tak Moscow play­er, join­ing the 10-time Russ­ian cham­pi­ons on a deal that runs un­til June 2028.

Spar­tak made the an­nounce­ment via their of­fi­cial In­sta­gram ac­count on Fri­day morn­ing, with Gar­cia al­ready pic­tured in the club's uni­form af­ter com­plet­ing the move from Greek side AEK Athens for a re­port­ed 18.70 mil­lion eu­ros.

Talk of Gar­cia's de­par­ture from AEK be­gan cir­cu­lat­ing ear­li­er this week af­ter the club left him out of its squad for Sun­day's Greek Su­per League trip to PAOK.

Gar­cia, 27, con­firmed to Guardian Me­dia Sports on Mon­day that he sub­se­quent­ly trav­elled to Barcelona, Spain, for a med­ical, with Spar­tak re­port­ed to be his next des­ti­na­tion.

Gar­cia joined AEK in 2020, scor­ing 56 goals in 160 ap­pear­ances in all com­pe­ti­tions, win­ning one Greek Su­per League (2022-2023) and one Greek Cup (2022-2023). Fol­low­ing that suc­cess­ful 2022-2023 sea­son, ma­jor in­ter­est came in from sev­er­al clubs in top Eu­ro­pean leagues, in­clud­ing Spain's Vil­lar­real, Celtic of Scot­land, and French side Lens, who had sev­er­al bids re­ject­ed by AEK.

He sub­se­quent­ly signed a new con­tract with AEK in a deal that was set to keep him at the club un­til 2028.
