KINGSTON, Ja­maica -At­tack­ing mid­field­er Tyreek Magee has been called up to the Reg­gae Boyz squad as Ja­maica gears up for their two-match friend­ly se­ries against Trinidad and To­ba­go.

Magee, who re­cent­ly re­turned from Eu­rope, has been show­cas­ing his skills with Vere Unit­ed in the Ja­maica Pre­mier League (JPL). His in­clu­sion comes on the heels of a nar­row 2-1 de­feat to de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons Cav­a­lier on Mon­day, where he fea­tured promi­nent­ly.

The 24-year-old mid­field­er makes his re­turn to the na­tion­al team af­ter an 11-month ab­sence, hav­ing last rep­re­sent­ed Ja­maica in Oc­to­ber 2023 dur­ing the Con­ca­caf Na­tions League Group B match against Nicaragua in Man­agua.

The Reg­gae Boyz squad is heav­i­ly dom­i­nat­ed by lo­cal tal­ent, with a strong rep­re­sen­ta­tion from the top JPL teams. De­fend­ing cham­pi­ons Cav­a­lier and cur­rent league lead­ers Mount Pleas­ant have con­tributed a com­bined 15 play­ers to the ros­ter.
