Re­ece Web­ster and Omari Lewis cap­tured the 60-me­tre sprint ti­tles for Lib­er­ty Uni­ver­si­ty at the Con­fer­ence US In­door Cham­pi­onships in Lynch­burg, Vir­ginia held over two days, Feb­ru­ary 22-23.

Web­ster took the women's crown in 7.32 sec­onds, 0;01 sec­onds slow­er than the 7.31 school record and per­son­al best (pb) she set in the heats ear­li­er in the day. She was al­so sec­ond in the 200m fi­nals in 23.27 and helped Lib­er­ty's 4x400m team to fourth spot in the fi­nals (3:48.12).

Lewis raced the men's 60m ho­n­our in 6.67(pb). Re­ece's broth­er Rev­el was sixth in 6.86. Lewis was third in the 200m fi­nal in 21.11 with Rev­el tak­ing sixth place (21.96). The Web­sters and Lewis com­pete for lo­cal track club, Con­corde.

Tim­o­thy Fred­er­ick (East­ern New Mex­i­co), Amiri Prescod (Vil­lano­va), Joan­na Rogers (Jack­sonville) al­so won gold at their re­spec­tive Con­fer­ence Cham­pi­onships.

Fred­er­ick land­ed the Lone Star men's 200m crown in Nor­man, Ok­la­homa in 21.61. The Sim­plex sprint­er was third in the 400m (48.90).

Prescod took home the Big East 60m dash in 6.75 (pb). Do­minic Cole (De­Paul/Abi­lene Wild­cats) was sev­enth (6.89). Cole won bronze in the 200m fi­nals (21.57).

Rogers topped the women's 400m fi­nals at the At­lantic Sun Con­fer­ence in 55.71. Rogers and the Jack­sonville team-mates al­so won the women's 4x400m race in 3:44.35.

Leah Bertrand (Ohio/Sim­plex) land­ed sil­ver in the women's 60m fi­nals at the Big Ten Champs in 7.29 sec­onds. She al­so placed fifth in the 200m medal race (23.81).

On­al Mitchell helped his North­ern Iowa team to the run­ner-up spot in the men's 4x400m at the Mis­souri Val­ley Con­fer­ence Champs in 3:1.367. Mitchell missed out on a medal in the 400m tak­ing fourth spot in 48.05.

Uni­ver­si­ty of South Cal­i­for­nia fresh­man Nathan Cum­ber­batch record­ed his fourth sub 1:50 clock­ing for the in­door sea­son when he clocked 1:48.33 sec­onds to race to vic­to­ry at the Hen Shan­non Last Chance Meet in Seat­tle, Wash­ing­ton on Feb­ru­ary 24. The teenag­er set a new na­tion­al Un­der-20 record of 1:47.78 in Arkansas, USA on Jan­u­ary 27. Cum­ber­batch is the reign­ing Carif­ta Boys U-20 800m cham­pi­on.

T&T's Le Bron James was third in the men's pole vault at the Gib­son/Mc­Cook Re­lays in Kingston Ja­maica on Feb­ru­ary 24. James cleared 3.50m. His younger broth­er, Com­mon­wealth Youth Games sil­ver medal­list, Jai­di James,was sev­enth in the men's long jump with a dis­tance of 6.42m. The James broth­ers are stu­dents of Ja­maica Col­lege.

Queen's Roy­al Col­lege (QRC) fin­ished in sixth in the Class One Boys 4x200m fi­nals in 1:29.01. In the pre­lim­i­nar­ies, QRC was sev­enth with 1:30.10. The 2024 Trin­ba­go Schools Re­lays boys' win­ners were al­so 10th in the 4x400m heats (3:20.10). Bish­op Anstey was 15th in the Class Two girls 4x100m in 50.89 and 20th in the 4x20m (1:49.97).
