Aaron Wil­son was crowned the Men’s Open cham­pi­on of the ICWI Sil­ver Bowl Se­niors on Sun­day at the Na­tion­al Rac­quet Cen­tre in Or­ange Grove Tacarigua.

He de­feat­ed Arun Roop­nar­ine in a hot­ly con­test­ed fi­nal 3-2, hav­ing to come from be­hind 10-12, 9-11, 11-8, 11-6, and 11-7. Both play­ers were un­beat­en through­out the tour­na­ment and had to sort the scores out in the fi­nal.

In the semi­fi­nal, Wil­son, who did not con­test the tour­na­ment the last time it was held in 2022, came with a vengeance as he top­pled An­drew Ed­wards 11-4, 11-6, 5-11, and 11-6.

Roop­nar­ine, in his semi­fi­nal match-up, took care of Luc O’Young 11-8, 11-6, 7-11, and 11-9, to set up a show­down in the fi­nal.
