The First Cit­i­zens Sports Foun­da­tion host­ed its an­nu­al Sport Awards on March 16 at Queen’s Hall, St Ann’s.

The foun­da­tion nom­i­nat­ed close to 100 ath­letes from var­i­ous sport­ing dis­ci­plines on the evening. 

The win­ners for both male and fe­male in the ju­nior and se­nior cat­e­gories were re­vealed at the end of the cer­e­mo­ny and were Se­nior Sports­man, sprint­er Ja­reem Richards; Se­nior Sports­woman, sprint­er Michelle-Lee Ahye; Ju­nior Sports­man, swim­mer Kael Yorke; and Ju­nior Sports­woman, sprint­er Shani­qua Bas­combe.

In at­ten­dance was Sports Min­is­ter Sham­fa Cud­joe, First Cit­i­zens chair­man An­tho­ny Smart, First Cit­i­zens Group CEO Karen Dar­basie and foun­da­tion chair­man Dr Ter­ry Ali.
