?T&T's Daniel Ra­moutars­ingh, and team mate To­my Dris­si dri­ving for Rock­et­sports Rac­ing, had an­oth­er good fin­ish in the Mus­cle Milk SC­CA Trans-Am Se­ries.

On Sun­day, the duo chalked up two of the top three podi­um spots, with Dris­si plac­ing sec­ond and Ra­moutars­ingh third, in Round Six of the se­ries at Watkins Glen Cir­cuit. Dris­si who was on top the stand­ings, clinched the ti­tle af­ter round sev­en of the eight, sched­uled to be run at Blue­grass Mo­tor­sports Park, was can­celled.

He tal­lied up 29 points for the sec­ond place fin­ish which gives him a to­tal of 172 Dri­vers' Cham­pi­onship points, 39 points over sec­ond place Tony Ave. This was enough to crown him cham­pi­on with on­ly one race to go this sea­son, af­ter the Hol­ly­wood na­tive claimed one win, four podi­ums, and six top-five fin­ish­es. Ra­moutars­ingh, on the oth­er hand, moves up two spots in the Cham­pi­onship stand­ings af­ter earn­ing 25 points.

The T&T dri­ver cur­rent­ly sits third with 96 points, 37 points be­hind sec­ond place Ave, and is al­so the high­est rook­ie in the stand­ings. The race was won by Jim Goughary Jr. He is not among the top five of the stand­ings, how­ev­er. Mean­while, the se­ries will con­clude its 2009 Cham­pi­onship at the venue that has held the most Trans-Am races–Road Amer­i­ca, in Elkhart Lake, Wis­con­sin–Sep­tem­ber 18-20.
