?T&T's Davis Cup ten­nis team lost the first match of its meet­ing with Hon­duras in Group IV of the Amer­i­can Zone in Pana­ma City, Pana­ma yes­ter­day evening as Yohansey Williams went down to Carl­ton Al­varez 6-3, 6-3. At press time, Joseph Cado­gan was on court with Jose Rober­to Mon­ca­da with Liam Gomez and Da­woud Kabli set to face Mon­ca­da and Al­varez in the fol­low­ing dou­bles match. In the six times the two coun­tries have met in the tour­na­ment's his­to­ry, each team has record­ed three vic­to­ries. T&T lost its first match of the five-team round robin to Bar­ba­dos 2-1 on Wednes­day but bounced back with a 2-1 win over the US Vir­gin Is­lands on Thurs­day. The team will play its last match against Pana­ma to­day.
