Jo­mal Williams scored a first-half dou­ble to lead T&T Un­der-17 foot­ballers to a 2-1 win over Bermu­da and a spot in the Con­ca­caf Fi­nal Round quial­i­fiers, af­ter top­ping the Caribbean Foot­ball Union Group E qual­i­fiers yes­ter­day.

Play­ing in the sec­ond-match of a dou­ble-head­er at the Mar­vin Lee Sta­di­um, Williams fired T&T ahead in the 23rd minute and dou­bled the lead five min­utes be­fore the in­ter­val for a 2-0 cush­ion at the break.

A minute in­to the sec­ond-half, Zeiko Lewis pulled a goal back for Bermu­da but the Dario Holmes-mar­shalled de­fence stood firm and held on to its one-goal ad­van­tage.

The three points im­proved the Shawn Coop­er coached-T&T young­sters tal­ly to sev­en from their three match­es, the same as Cu­ba which edged St Kitts/Nevis 1-0 in the day's first match. For the Cubans, Da­iron Perez scored in the 59th minute for their sec­ond win in three match­es.

How­ev­er, T&T se­cured the lone spot avail­able to the Con­ca­caf Fi­nal Round qual­i­fiers for next year's Fi­fa World Cup Fi­nals in Mex­i­co as it fin­ished with a su­pe­ri­or goal-dif­fer­ence of plus-eight to the Cubans' plus-three.
