The day started with Holy Mass and a procession of altar servers, lay ministers, members of the church portraying St Raphael and his two cherubims, and parish priest Fr Robert Christo.
The mass, lead by Fr Christo, was spirit filled and everyone from far and wide took part in worship and fellowship with one another. The church choir–comprising young and old, men and women–kept the congregation on its feet with its soulful and rhythmic rendition of a variety of worship songs.
When the mass ended all the stalls were blessed and open for business.
There were over 30 stalls including food and games. Later in the day, patrons took part in bingo. Four parang bands including the community's own Soldados De Christo serenaded late into the evening as villagers, parishioners, and patrons danced to local and contemporary parang music.
The evening ended with a blessing done by Fr Christo. It was indeed a memorable and fantastic event for all.
