A 46-year-old man has appeared in court for the murder of retiree Lennox Williams and the attempted murder of Lyndon Gumbs.
Marlon Quashie, of D’Abadie, Arima, was remanded into custody after appearing virtually before Master Whitney Franklin yesterday.
The charges stemmed from an incident at Williams’ house at Central Street in Vistabella, on Carnival Sunday (March 2).
Police said Williams was stabbed in the abdomen when he tried to quell a disturbance between Gumbs and another man.
Williams died while being treated at the San Fernando General Hospital, while Gumbs was treated and discharged. Quashie surrendered to the police on March 3. —Sascha Wilson
