Fa­ther-in-law of Kier­an Thomp­son (USA) and An­gela Tai (Cana­da). Beloved grand­fa­ther of Blair, Brit­tni and Bian­ca-Marie Thomp­son. Broth­er of Robert and Mervyn Shur­land (dec), John Shur­land, Neville Shur­land (dec), Pe­ter Shur­land, Joyce and Michael ‘Mon­ty’ Shur­land. Broth­er-in-law of Eileen Fitzwilliam and Pa­tri­cia Shur­land and de­ceased oth­ers. Rel­a­tive of the Reg­is, McLear, Wood­ing, Far­quhar, Samuel and Branck­er fam­i­lies, and trea­sured friend to many.

MAR­VA EL­DICA TELES­FORD Age 71, peace­ful­ly de­part­ed this life on May 9th, 2025. She was a lov­ing moth­er to Kevin and a cher­ished sis­ter to Muriel, Hu­bert, Jer­ry, Nor­va, Er­ic, and Kath­leen. Her sis­ter Rose has sad­ly passed away pre­vi­ous­ly. Fu­ner­al ser­vices will take place on Tues­day May 20th at 10:00 AM at St. Charles Ro­man Catholic Church, East­ern Main Road in Tu­na­puna, where friends and fam­i­ly will gath­er to cel­e­brate her life.
