Three robbery suspects, arrested due to a citizen’s alert last Wednesday, have been charged with two counts of robbery with violence.

The Police Service said Nicholas Solomon, 32, of Jacobin Street, Morvant, a 17-year-old of Petit Valley and Reaba Gilding, 30, of Jacobin Street, Morvant, have been jointly charged.

An Emergency Response Patrol (ERP) unit located the suspects’ vehicle on Morne Coco Road, Petit Valley, shortly after the alert was received.

The suspects attempted to evade police, which resulted in the two vehicles colliding. The officers, along with the suspects, sustained minor injuries.

A quantity of stolen items including cell phones and jewellery were recovered.

The investigation was supervised by Insp Grant and conducted by members of the Four Roads Criminal Investigations Department (CID).

They were assisted by officers of the Emergency Response Patrol and Western Division Operations Centre (WDOC).
