A man and his two teenaged sons were arrested after Eastern Division officers reportedly found two firearms and quantities of ammunition and marijuana at their Toco home on Monday.
The TTPS said an anti-crime exercise was conducted in the district between 1 am and 1 pm, on Monday 12 August 2024, during which officers of the Eastern Division Gang and Intelligence Unit, Task Force, Guard and Emergency Branch and Canine Branch, proceeded to the home of a 46-year-old suspect.
There, a search warrant was executed for firearms and ammunition, dangerous drugs and digital devices.
During the search, officers reportedly found one pump action shotgun along with five 12-gauge cartridges, one revolver, quantities of assorted ammunition, and 2.63 kilogrammes of marijuana.
The man and his two sons, who were in the house at the time of the search, were arrested in connection with the drugs and weapons.
Meanwhile, in keeping with the Northern Division, North’s Strategic Operations Plan, officers of the Pinto Road Police Post conducted an operation around 2 am today, Tuesday 13 August 2024, in the Santa Rosa Heights area.
The TTPS said during the operation, the officers observed a male suspect dressed in tactical wear and carrying an object that appeared to be a rifle with attachments.
