Four men, in­clud­ing a Venezue­lan were ar­rest­ed yes­ter­day in con­nec­tion with a bar brawl, a stolen firearm, and a stolen Sam­sung phone at a sports bar in Bar­rack­pore.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, an armed Es­tate Con­sta­ble, was on du­ty at the bar, its al­leged an ar­gu­ment en­sued with a man of East In­di­an de­scent in the wash­room area of the bar.

Po­lice re­ports say the ar­gu­ment es­ca­lat­ed in­to a phys­i­cal al­ter­ca­tion, and it is al­leged that three men joined the fight in which the Es­tate Con­sta­ble was beat­en.

One of the men took the his firearm and Sam­sung cell phone, and they then drove off in a Nis­san Fron­tier ve­hi­cle.

Of­fi­cers of the South­ern Di­vi­sion re­spond­ed to the re­port, and a co­or­di­nat­ed ex­er­cise was led by Se­nior Su­per­in­ten­dent Smith, ASP Bertie, In­spec­tor Ram­lo­gan, and Sergeant Joseph.

As a re­sult of the ex­er­cise, the Fron­tier ve­hi­cle was in­ter­cept­ed and searched by mem­bers of the South­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force in the vicin­i­ty of Pic­ton Recre­ation­al Ground, Pa­pourie Road. The men who oc­cu­pied the ve­hi­cle were ar­rest­ed and the firearm was re­cov­ered.
