The adverse weather alert, which had been active for roughly 24 hours, has been discontinued.

According to the T&T Meteorological Service’s latest advisory, the potential for impactful weather associated with the passage of a Tropical Wave has significantly diminished.

“However, there remains a medium (40-60%) chance of the heavier shower or isolated thunderstorm activity, favouring Southern Trinidad,” Met Service forecasters warn. “Cloudiness and showery activity are expected to increase from late evening into overnight.”

They also note that in the event of a heavier shower or thunderstorm, gusty winds and street/flash flooding can occur.
