Unfazed by the police, parents of St Dominic's RC Primary and residents staged another fiery protest in Penal calling on the authorities to build a new school.
Their action came a day after officials held a meeting and suggested that the students be relocated to the Penal Fire Station and another primary school.
"We doh want that. We want a new school," shouted a protester. Several areas in Penal Rock Road, Church Street, and Lachoos Road are blocked.
Despite the heavy police presence, the protesters burned debris and blocked vehicular traffic.
Parents began protesting last week after they complained about unsafe conditions at the Penal Community Centre where some students were relocated in 2017 after an earthquake damaged the building.
