An anti-crime operation conducted in the Southern Division earlier today resulted in the arrest of one individual and the seizure of a quantity of illegal drugs and ammunition.
The coordinated exercise took place between the hours of 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM on Wednesday, May 15th, 2025. It was led by Senior Superintendent Rodhill Kirk, Superintendent Singh, Inspector Wilkinson, and Corporal Nanan, with support from members of the Southern Division Criminal Investigations Department (CID) Operations Unit.
Several areas known for drug-related activity were targeted during the operation, leading to the search of multiple persons and locations.
As a result, officers arrested a 24-year-old man of Charles Street, Marabella. He is expected to be charged with the following offences:
Possession of Ammunition (10 rounds of 9mm)
Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking (513 grams)
Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Trafficking (1080 grams)
Assaulting a Police Officer
Resisting Arrest
Offering a Bribe
Use of Obscene Language
