The Prime Minister cannot be viewed with credibility if statements from her office are incorrect, Opposition PNM MP Amery Browne said yesterday. Calling for full disclosure on how the mistake had arisen on the OPM's statements on the SIA issue, Browne asked:
"If National Security adviser (Gary) Griffith and the PM did not make the error in the statement, then who did? "Once again the PM is on the line and if we cannot rely on official releases from the Prime Minister's office we cannot rely on anything Government says, he said.
"How can OPM statements be trusted again? "There have been so many mis-statements, contradictions, 'inadvertent wrong impressions,' doublespeak and false apologies from this administration that they cannot be trusted. "It is obvious that they thought that Government was easy and easy to be a Prime Minister, but they are demonstrating that they clearly can't handle it."
