Two geologists who got lost in the Tamana forest on Thursday were rescued on Friday by a joint team of police and soldiers.
A release from the Defence Force said Phillip Farfan and Shantelle Hughes lost contact with their tour guide around 5 pm on Thursday.
The tour guide, Lane Fariah, contact the police and teams from the 1st Engineer Battalion of the T&T Regiment and the Police Service launched a search and rescue mission which continued throughout the night.
Around 7.45 am on Friday the missing geologists were found. They were visibly shaken and suffering from insect bites. They were medically assessed by the Defence Force.
