A Fyz­abad labour­er was at­tacked and shot in his face at his home ear­li­er to­day (Wednes­day).

Nicholas Yorke, 31, is ward­ed in a sta­ble con­di­tion at the San Fer­nan­do Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal.

Ini­tial re­ports stat­ed that around 5.30 am, Yorke's wife was prepar­ing to leave her Deli Road home for work when she heard her hus­band scream. Up­on open­ing the door, she saw him fight­ing with a man wear­ing a black mask.

The sus­pect then shot her hus­band and ran off.

Fyz­abad po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing.
