Man stabbed to death after early morning argument in Woodbrook

A 29-year-old man was stabbed to death af­ter he re­port­ed­ly got in­to an ar­gu­ment with a stranger in Wood­brook ear­ly on Sat­ur­day morn­ing.

Po­lice said Stan­ley Gre­goir was in a black MG SUV which was parked along Al­ber­to Street, at around 2.10 am when he got in­to an ar­gu­ment with sev­er­al peo­ple.

Gre­goir was stabbed sev­er­al times by his at­tack­er and ran out of the car and on­to the street to try and get away. How­ev­er, his at­tack­er chased him along Al­ber­to Street, lead­ing to a scuf­fle, as Gre­goir was chopped on the pave­ment as the at­tack­er fled.

Po­lice on pa­trol were flagged down by passers-by. The of­fi­cers then took Gre­goir to the Port of Spain Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal where he was de­clared dead.

Po­lice from the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions Re­gion I are con­tin­u­ing en­quiries.
