Minister of Rural Development and Local Government Kazim Hosein has appointed a new Board of Directors to the Rural Development Company of T&T (RDC)

The new directors received their instruments of appointment at the ministry’s office in Port-of-Spain on Thursday.

The new chairman of the Board is businesswoman Patricia Alexis.

In congratulating the new directors, Hosein reminded them of their purpose at the State enterprise saying: “I want to personally welcome each one of you to the team. As you are well aware, the Rural Development Company (RDC) plays a pivotal role in the development of rural communities across our country.

“Only last month, through RDC, we opened a bridge in L’Anse Mitan, Carenage which residents have been eagerly awaiting for over 60 years.

He said the new installment will ensure that over 100 citizens receive the necessary goods and service.
