Ma­yaro MP Rush­ton Paray, who led the Unit­ed Pa­tri­ots' bid to gain lead­er­ship of the UNC's Na­tion­al Ex­ec­u­tive, says he is ready and will­ing to con­tin­ue his work to build the par­ty, as well as the coun­try.

Paray's slate lost the ex­ec­u­tive elec­tions to the Star Team on Sat­ur­day.

How­ev­er, Paray does not view it as a loss, as he says he is now stronger and bet­ter.

“This morn­ing, we are ready to go,” he told Guardian Me­dia.  “More than like­ly to­day I will is­sue some com­mu­ni­ca­tions, and we have Par­lia­ment on Fri­day.”

“One way or the oth­er, we will turn up,” he said.  “I am ready to start to work with every­body who has an in­ter­est in na­tion­al de­vel­op­ment in this coun­try.”

De­spite the re­sults, Paray says the Unit­ed Pa­tri­ots has done well.

“Al­though we ac­cept­ed the re­sults, I won’t call it a de­feat,” he stat­ed.  “One-third of the votes cast sup­port­ed the stance that we made.”

The Ma­yaro MP added: “I want to thank the peo­ple of Ma­yaro who came out in their num­bers.  My team won all three polling di­vi­sions and that is a re­mark­able feat.”
