With their passing out parade mere weeks away, 161 recruits participated in an outreach session with the Police Complaints Authority (PCA) at the Police Training Academy, St James, today.
The session was conducted by PCA Director David West and several PCA officials from the legal, investigative, communications and IT departments of the Authority.
In his address to the recruits, David West pointed out that their career as members of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service will not be an easy one.

He warned them it would be “a thankless job”.
"You are here to show the public that you intend to make a difference,” he told the recruits. “Do not get involved in corrupt activities. Do not let your families down. More importantly, do not let yourselves down."
Mr West said the training which the recruits have undergone at the Academy can match training anywhere else in the world.
The PCA director also provided the recruits with insight into the PCA’s role and functions.
The Passing Out Ceremony for the 161 recruits will take place on May 29, 2024.
