Police arrest 4 men who stole a Charles Chocolate truck

A “quick and co­or­di­nat­ed” re­sponse by po­lice of­fi­cers at­tached to Man­zanil­la Po­lice Sta­tion and Of­fi­cers of East­ern Task Force led to the ar­rest of 4 men who drove away with a truck be­long­ing to As­so­ci­at­ed Brands In­dus­tries Lim­it­ed, Charles Choco­late Di­vi­sion.

This re­port­ed­ly oc­curred while the sales­man was con­duct­ing busi­ness at the NP Gas Sta­tion in Man­zanil­la on Thurs­day.

Re­ports say whilst at the lo­ca­tion, the sales­man he ob­served the truck be­ing re­versed from the com­pound by an in­di­vid­ual, which even­tu­al­ly drove away.

He con­tact­ed the po­lice and an All Points Bul­letin was sent out.

This was fol­lowed by what po­lice de­scribe as a quick and co­or­di­nat­ed re­sponse from of­fi­cers of the Man­zanil­la Po­lice Sta­tion along with a par­ty of the of­fi­cers of the East­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force, which re­sult­ed in four sus­pects, three from the San Juan area and one from Freeport be­ing de­tained.

Po­lice re­cov­ered the ve­hi­cle aban­doned at Cedar Hill Road in the vicin­i­ty of the Man­zanil­la Sec­ondary School.

A quan­ti­ty of cash and the key for the ve­hi­cle were re­port­ed­ly found in their pos­ses­sion.
