A “quick and coordinated” response by police officers attached to Manzanilla Police Station and Officers of Eastern Task Force led to the arrest of 4 men who drove away with a truck belonging to Associated Brands Industries Limited, Charles Chocolate Division.
This reportedly occurred while the salesman was conducting business at the NP Gas Station in Manzanilla on Thursday.
Reports say whilst at the location, the salesman he observed the truck being reversed from the compound by an individual, which eventually drove away.
He contacted the police and an All Points Bulletin was sent out.
This was followed by what police describe as a quick and coordinated response from officers of the Manzanilla Police Station along with a party of the officers of the Eastern Division Task Force, which resulted in four suspects, three from the San Juan area and one from Freeport being detained.
Police recovered the vehicle abandoned at Cedar Hill Road in the vicinity of the Manzanilla Secondary School.
A quantity of cash and the key for the vehicle were reportedly found in their possession.
