Of­fi­cers from the Pro­fes­sion­al Stan­dards Bu­reau (PSB) of the T&T Po­lice Ser­vice are at this time ex­e­cut­ing search war­rants and the head­quar­ters of the Drugs Sou Sou (DSS) in La Hor­quet­ta, Ari­ma.

Short­ly be­fore 11 am, the of­fi­cers blocked off the road lead­ing to the premis­es from which the DSS op­er­ates.

The ex­er­cise is be­ing led by Sgt Sil­ver of the PSB and the war­rants are for re­ceipts and seizure of cash.

This is the sec­ond po­lice raid on the DSS in just over a month. On Sep­tem­ber 21, po­lice raid­ed the busi­ness place lo­cat­ed in Phase One, La Hor­quet­ta, took nine peo­ple in­to cus­tody and seized mil­lions of dol­lars in cash. How­ev­er, with­in hours of the seizure, ju­nior of­fi­cers at­tached to the La Hor­quet­ta Po­lice Sta­tion re­port­ed­ly re­turned the cash to DSS op­er­a­tor Ker­ron Clarke with­out au­tho­ri­sa­tion to do so.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions are con­tin­u­ing in­to that in­ci­dent and four se­nior of­fi­cers have been sus­pend­ed and oth­ers trans­ferred pend­ing its out­come.
