Gang-re­lat­ed mur­ders con­tin­ued in Co­corite overnight on Wednes­day, af­ter a man was shot sev­er­al times about the body.

Ac­cord­ing to a po­lice re­port, short­ly af­ter mid­night, gun­men opened fire on Me­shach Far­rell while he was at his Co­corite Ter­race home.

Far­rell was tak­en to the St James Med­ical Com­plex but suc­cumbed to his in­juries.

Po­lice said last De­cem­ber, Far­rell was ar­rest­ed in the Co­corite area for break­ing in­to a near­by shop. They said he had been dressed in cloth­ing re­sem­bling a po­lice tac­ti­cal uni­form at the time of his ar­rest.

Po­lice said Far­rell was known to them and strong­ly sus­pect his killing was gang-re­lat­ed.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions are con­tin­u­ing.
