A 34-year-old sales­man was grant­ed $100,000 bail with sure­ty when he ap­peared in court charged with two counts of sex­u­al pen­e­tra­tion.

Ch­agua­nas Mag­is­trate Adri­an Dar­manie or­dered the ac­cused to stay no less than 300 feet from the vic­tim and re­port to a po­lice sta­tion in his dis­trict once a week. He will re­turn to court on April 6.

The teenage vic­tim was at the home of a male rel­a­tive on June 17, 2022, when the man al­leged­ly had sex­u­al con­tact with the teenag­er. A sec­ond in­ci­dent al­leged­ly oc­curred on June 24, 2022, at his home.

The mat­ter was re­port­ed to the Ch­agua­nas Po­lice Sta­tion, and an in­ves­ti­ga­tion was ini­ti­at­ed by WPC Luke which led to the ar­rest of the sus­pect.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions were su­per­vised by Su­per­in­ten­dent Claire GuyAl­leyne, ASP Seecha­ran, and Sergeant Ce­de­no Fi­garo.
