National Security Minister Martin Joseph made his traditional Christmas Day greetings to Camp Ogden and other Inter-Agency Task Force camps throughout Port-of-Spain yesterday, according to a press release from his ministry.
The release stated that Joseph made his first stop at Camp Ogden, Long Circular Road, St James, where he raised a toast to the more than 60 members of the Defence Force present thanking them for their commitment especially during this season.
The release also stated that Joseph warned that in the past the public viewed the Defence Force as having morality and integrity but in recent times there have been cases of law enforcement officers appearing before the courts.
He also warned them against "temptations that lurk in the society" and emphasised the need for commitment from all members of the Defence Force.
According to the release, Joseph pointed out that integrity and commitment are virtues for all people.
Joseph was accompanied by senior officers of the Defence Force including Chief of Staff, Brigadier Edmund Dillon and Commanding Officer of the Regiment Colonel Roland Maunday.
