Na­tion­al Se­cu­ri­ty Min­is­ter Mar­tin Joseph made his tra­di­tion­al Christ­mas Day greet­ings to Camp Og­den and oth­er In­ter-Agency Task Force camps through­out Port-of-Spain yes­ter­day, ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease from his min­istry.

The re­lease stat­ed that Joseph made his first stop at Camp Og­den, Long Cir­cu­lar Road, St James, where he raised a toast to the more than 60 mem­bers of the De­fence Force present thank­ing them for their com­mit­ment es­pe­cial­ly dur­ing this sea­son.

The re­lease al­so stat­ed that Joseph warned that in the past the pub­lic viewed the De­fence Force as hav­ing moral­i­ty and in­tegri­ty but in re­cent times there have been cas­es of law en­force­ment of­fi­cers ap­pear­ing be­fore the courts.

He al­so warned them against "temp­ta­tions that lurk in the so­ci­ety" and em­pha­sised the need for com­mit­ment from all mem­bers of the De­fence Force.

Ac­cord­ing to the re­lease, Joseph point­ed out that in­tegri­ty and com­mit­ment are virtues for all peo­ple.

Joseph was ac­com­pa­nied by se­nior of­fi­cers of the De­fence Force in­clud­ing Chief of Staff, Brigadier Ed­mund Dil­lon and Com­mand­ing Of­fi­cer of the Reg­i­ment Colonel Roland Maun­day.
