The Gen­er­al Coun­cil of TU­CO met to­day, to­day in an emer­gency meet­ing fol­low­ing the sud­den pass­ing of our beloved Pres­i­dent Lu­ta­lo “Broth­er Re­sis­tance” Masim­ba on Wednes­day 14 Ju­ly 2021.

The Vice-Pres­i­dent, Ains­ley King presided over the said meet­ing where­in the life and lega­cy of Masim­ba was the sub­ject of dis­cus­sion.

A minute of si­lence was ob­served, and mem­bers took time to re­flect on his un­wa­ver­ing con­tri­bu­tion to the or­gan­i­sa­tion and the cul­tur­al art­form.

Fu­ner­al arrange­ments were dis­cussed which will be dis­sem­i­nat­ed to the pub­lic af­ter con­sul­ta­tion with the fam­i­ly of the de­ceased.

Pur­suant to the con­sti­tu­tion of TU­CO, the Gen­er­al Coun­cil moved a mo­tion to ap­point Ains­ley King as Act­ing Pres­i­dent of the Or­gan­i­sa­tion. King called on mem­bers to uni­fy dur­ing this dif­fi­cult time and vows to take up the man­tle in steer­ing the or­gan­i­sa­tion for­ward.
