The General Council of TUCO met today, today in an emergency meeting following the sudden passing of our beloved President Lutalo “Brother Resistance” Masimba on Wednesday 14 July 2021.
The Vice-President, Ainsley King presided over the said meeting wherein the life and legacy of Masimba was the subject of discussion.
A minute of silence was observed, and members took time to reflect on his unwavering contribution to the organisation and the cultural artform.
Funeral arrangements were discussed which will be disseminated to the public after consultation with the family of the deceased.
Pursuant to the constitution of TUCO, the General Council moved a motion to appoint Ainsley King as Acting President of the Organisation. King called on members to unify during this difficult time and vows to take up the mantle in steering the organisation forward.
