One man remained hospitalised today, while a second was treated and discharged, after they were stabbed during an argument with a man known to them.
The victims, aged 21 and 34 years, and both of Arima, reportedly were standing along Jean Street around 9:30 pm on May 7, speaking with the suspect, when a disagreement arose.
It is alleged the suspect became violent and dealt the 21-year-old man several stab wounds about his body.
As the younger victim slumped to the ground, his friend attempted to quell the altercation, but he too was stabbed about the body by the suspect, who then escaped in a waiting car.
Both victims were rushed to the Arima Health Facility, where they were treated.
The 21-year-old man was later transferred to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope, where he was warded in a critical condition.
The second victim was treated for minor injuries and discharged.
