Two to stand trial for murdering cosmetologist

Two men have been com­mit­ted to stand tri­al for mur­der­ing a cos­me­tol­o­gist and wound­ing her boyfriend in 2019. 

Bran­don "Ram­bo" Har­ry, 25, and 32-year-old Ter­rance "Shot­ta Boy" Joseph, both of Care­nage, were com­mit­ted to stand tri­al at the end of their pre­lim­i­nary in­quiry be­fore Chief Mag­is­trate Maria Bus­by-Ear­le-Cad­dle on Thurs­day. 

The in­dict­ments against both men will now have to be filed in the High Court be­fore their case joins the long list of cas­es await­ing tri­al. 

Har­ry and Joseph are ac­cused of mur­der­ing 24-year-old Jus­tine Davis and wound­ing her boyfriend Ger­vais Jack­man dur­ing an in­ci­dent on Ju­ly 14, 2019. 

Ac­cord­ing to re­ports, around 7.30 pm on the day, a group of men armed with ma­chine guns broke in­to the cou­ple's apart­ment in Care­nage and shot them sev­er­al times. 

Davis, a make-up artist, died at the scene, while Jack­man, who was al­leged­ly the tar­get of the at­tack, sur­vived af­ter be­ing shot in his up­per chest and ab­domen. 

The duo was charged fol­low­ing in­ves­ti­ga­tions by Cpl De­noon of the Care­nage Po­lice Sta­tion and In­sp Reyes of the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions.
