The murders continued yesterday with the killing of an unidentified man at the corner of Nelson and Prince Streets, Port-of-Spain.
Police said residents claimed that they did not know the victim and believed he may have come to visit someone in the area.
Gunshots were heard in the area around 3 pm, following which the victim was seen lying face down in blood at the side of the road.
While scores of people, including children, rushed out to see what had happened, they quickly returned to their homes as officers arrived on the scene.
