Bliss and Security Analyst Services (SAS) both won in the 35 and under and 54-60 Divisions to maintain their perfect starts in this year's Queen’s Park Cricket Club (QPCC) 8-A-Side Football Tournament at the Queen’s Park Oval, Tragarete Road, Port-of-Spain on Tuesday (September 16) night.
In the 35 and Under Division, Bliss got a goal each from Sean De Silva, Richard Fifi, Kiel Lopez, and Gary Griffith III to blank Aioli/Spirit Mas 4-0 in their top-of-the-table clash to move to a maximum of 15 points from five matches, six clear of Food Drop and Aioli/Spirit Mas.
Food Drop moved ahead of Aioli/Spirit Mas on goal difference thanks to their 1-0 win over WAM, courtesy of a strike from Dillon Abraham, while Full Barrel got a pair of goals from Kyle Mowser and one from Randy Antoine to defeat Mini Bar 3-0 in the other match.
In the 54-60 Division, Sean Ramdoo and Gary Griffith Junior were both on target to secure a 2-0 triumph for SAS against Carpenter's Edge, their fifth win from as many matches for 15 points, three more than The Brix who battled past T-Rex with goals from Jeffrey Dalton-Brown, his ninth of the tournament, and Brent Barry to cancel out T-Rex's lone item from Scott Rodriguez. The tournament continues Friday (September 19).
