Dr Dale Has­s­ranah and Dr Aroon Narayns­ingh emerged win­ners of the in­au­gur­al Li­ons Club of Ari­ma fundrais­ing golf tour­na­ment at Mil­len­ni­um Lakes Golf & Coun­try Club in Trinci­ty on Sat­ur­day (Feb­ru­ary 19).

Has­s­ranah and Narayns­ingh won with a tal­ly of 49 sta­ble­ford points. In sec­ond place was the team of Sub­ash Rag­bir and Mani­ram Seep­er­sad with 48 points. Third place went to the team of Isa­iah Row­ley and Chris­ton Bap­tiste who had 45 points and round­ing out the top five were the teams of Neil Giusep­pi and Sean Jack al­so with 45 points and Kendall Lowhar and Roger Gill with 44.

The win­ners won valu­able prizes spon­sored by Beau­ti­ful World Trav­el Agency, Courts Op­ti­cal, Nov­el Sports, Vil­la in­dra and First Caribbean Mar­ket­ing Com­pa­ny Lim­it­ed.

Un­for­tu­nate­ly, no one was able to win the US$50,000 prize for a hole in one on the 17th hole spon­sored by the Li­ons Club of Ari­ma.

The tour­na­ment was held to raise funds for the Just Be­cause Foun­da­tion which ex­ists to pro­vide emo­tion­al, prac­ti­cal and so­cial sup­port ser­vices to fam­i­lies of chil­dren with can­cer.

The pres­i­dent of the Li­ons Club of Ari­ma, Jeanne Blaize, thanked all the spon­sors, par­tic­i­pants and vol­un­teers who con­tributed to mak­ing the event a huge suc­cess and sought their con­tin­u­ing sup­port for the next event to be held in mid Feb­ru­ary 2023.
