Quinn Rod­ney net­ted a pair of goals as Moru­ga/Table­land Sam­ba Youths clob­bered Merikins Youth Acad­e­my 7-1 to make it six straight wins from as many match­es in Group B of the South­ern Foot­ball As­so­ci­a­tion (SFA) Pre­mier Di­vi­sion at the Grand Chemin Recre­ation Ground in Moru­ga on Sun­day.

The quin­tet of Andy Lon­don, Chad Fran­cois, Bevon Bass, Sanchez Lee, and Dar­ren Moore added a goal each for Moru­ga/Table­land to push their points tal­ly to a max­i­mum of 18 from six match­es at the top of the eight-team ta­ble, three clear of Mas­call Foot­ball Acad­e­my and Erin FC while Merikins Youth Acad­e­my which got its lone item via an own goal stayed root­ed to the bot­tom of the stand­ings with one point af­ter sev­en match­es.

Erin FC missed a chance to stay top of the ta­ble af­ter a nar­row 1-0 loss to Mas­call Foot­ball Acad­e­my with Mau­rice Dick on tar­get for the lat­ter at Erin Recre­ation Ground while in the two oth­er match­es, Dream Team out­played Pe­nal Is Love Youth Move­ment 3-1, and #9 Unit­ed and Moru­ga FC drew 2-2.

In Group A, Shaquille Dublin net­ted a beaver trick to fire De­porti­vo Point Fortin past New­com­ers 5-1 on Sat­ur­day.

Quinn Sealy got the oth­er item for De­porti­vo PF now with 12 points from sev­en match­es to stay sev­en be­hind un­beat­en lead­ers Pitch­men who won by de­fault over IBG Sport­ing Acad­e­my, while New­com­ers’ which got its con­so­la­tion strike from Sime­on Pierre stayed fifth with eight points.

In the two oth­er Group A en­coun­ters, Up­ris­ing Youths blanked Field of Dreams 3-0 led by a brace from Sha­keem George, and one Sime­on Mod­este while Point Fortin Civic Cen­tre trashed Li­on Heart 8-1 with a goal each from Omari Cob­ham, Jah­mali Cob­ham, Kendell Phillip, Akiel Phillip, Kaleem John, Gesi­ah Bish­op, Kevon Bernard, and Ronell Paul to can­cel out Je­re­my Duntin’s re­ply.
