Two-times defending champions South will battle South East for honours in the Flow Secondary Schools Girl's Hard Ball tournament at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba, San Fernando on Saturday from 1 pm.
South easily defeated Tobago by eight wickets at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy on Friday and South East which will be in the finals for the first time whipped North East by nine wickets later on in the day.
Batting first in semi-final number one, Tobago made 79/6 off 20 overs with Aliyah Akili scoring 18 and Jenelle Trim 26. The pick of the bowlers for South was Shalini Samaroo who grabbed 2/7.
South then made a mockery of the victory target getting to 80/2 with Djenaba Joseph getting 39 not out.
In the second semis, North East Zone made 46 all out as they found the bowling of Steffin Soogrim 3/9, Gail Boodoo and Keirra McKay too hot to handle. Shania Kistow battled well scoring 15 but did not get the necessary support.
Soogrim, then starred with the bat scoring 17, as her team reached their target for the loss of one wicket.
