Po­lice in To­ba­go seized over $1 mil­lion worth of mar­i­jua­na dur­ing a late-night bust at the Scar­bor­ough Port on Thurs­day.

Around 9:20 pm, of­fi­cers stopped a white Hon­da Civic dri­ven by a 25-year-old Bon Ac­cord man. A search re­vealed a hid­den trunk com­part­ment dis­guised as a gas tank.

In­side, of­fi­cers found 61 pack­ets of com­pressed mar­i­jua­na weigh­ing 33 kilo­grams.

The drugs, ve­hi­cle, and sus­pect were tak­en to the Shir­van Road Po­lice Sta­tion. In­ves­ti­ga­tions are on­go­ing.
