The mur­der toll con­tin­ued to climb yes­ter­day, fol­low­ing the killing of a teenag­er in Waller­field.

He has been iden­ti­fied as Zion “Queen­er” Oculien, of no fixed abode.

The 15-year-old was shot sev­er­al times in­side an un­oc­cu­pied house which in­cludes a mi­ni-mart, on An­tigua Road, Waller­field.

Res­i­dents re­port­ed hear­ing gun­shots around 12.45 am and con­tact­ed the po­lice, who ar­rived and found the vic­tim in one of the rooms.
Sev­er­al spent shells were found at the scene.

The mur­der toll up to mid­day yes­ter­day stood at 250 for the year com­pared to 223 for the same pe­ri­od last year.
