The Peo­ple’s Na­tion­al Move­ment (PNM) has of­fi­cial­ly opened nom­i­na­tions for its 2025 Na­tion­al In­ter­nal Elec­tions.

The Gen­er­al Coun­cil con­firmed the call for elec­tions, and the In­ter­nal Elec­tions Su­per­vi­so­ry Com­mit­tee (ESC), ap­proved by the Cen­tral Ex­ec­u­tive, will over­see the process.

Six­teen po­si­tions will be con­test­ed:

Nom­i­na­tion Day is set for Mon­day, June 2, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Nom­i­na­tion pack­ages are avail­able for col­lec­tion from Tues­day, May 27 to Thurs­day, May 29, be­tween 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at PNM Bal­isi­er House, #1 Tran­quil­i­ty Street, Port of Spain.

All reg­is­tered PNM mem­bers are el­i­gi­ble to vote.

To be nom­i­nat­ed, can­di­dates must:

Be reg­is­tered mem­bers of the PNM (with proof of mem­ber­ship)

Sub­mit a com­plet­ed nom­i­na­tion form with a copy of a na­tion­al ID, pass­port pho­to page, or dri­ver’s per­mit

Pro­vide a let­ter of con­sent from the nom­i­nee

Com­plet­ed forms and all ac­com­pa­ny­ing doc­u­ments must be sub­mit­ted to the of­fice at PNM Bal­isi­er House by 5:00 p.m. on Mon­day, June 2.
