The Port of Port of Spain says it is in­ter­rup­tions to its op­er­a­tions due to the un­avail­abil­i­ty of the full com­ple­ment of labour.

In a brief me­dia state­ment the Port said up­dates will be com­mu­ni­cat­ed as the sit­u­a­tion changes in the af­fect­ed op­er­a­tional ar­eas.

Last week the SWW­TU gave the Port man­age­ment 7 days to re­spond to work­ers' con­cerns over the non-im­ple­men­ta­tion of a wage in­crease agree­ment of 12 per cent.

The union threat­ened that work­ers would be tak­ing ac­tion.
