Over a year since gun­men shot and killed his men­tor, Dou­bles ven­dor Ka­reem Jervis was sim­i­lar­ly at­tacked and mur­dered while sell­ing the pop­u­lar street food along the South­ern Main Road Tues­day night.

Short­ly af­ter 7 pm, Jervis was at work at the pop­u­lar Sauce dou­bles stall just off Curepe Junc­tion, when gun­men ap­proached him and opened fire.

The wound­ed Jervis was tak­en to hos­pi­tal by his co-work­ers af­ter his at­tack­ers fled but was pro­nounced dead.

Of­fi­cers from the St Joseph Po­lice sta­tion re­spond­ed to the shoot­ing and are con­duct­ing en­quiries.

The blocked off a por­tion of the South­ern Main Road, caus­ing some traf­fic build up along the busy in­ter­sec­tion.

The in­ci­dent eeri­ly mir­rored the death Shaz­ard Man­ick, who was shot dead while work­ing at the pop­u­lar dou­bles stall along the South­ern Main Road on Au­gust 10, 2019.

Man­ick's mur­der prompt­ed the pop­u­lar stand to be closed for over a week.

Man­ick had in­tro­duced Jervis, who is known as Smokey or Smokes to the dou­ble busi­ness and Jervis even paid trib­ute to him for his im­pact fol­low­ing his mur­der.
