The Wa­ter and Sewage Au­thor­i­ty has an­nounced there is a hold on the planned main­te­nance shut­down at the De­sali­na­tion plant. De­tails fol­low in this press re­lease... 

The planned main­te­nance shut­down by the De­sali­na­tion Com­pa­ny of Trinidad and To­ba­go (DE­SAL­COTT), sched­uled to be­gin to­day, Sun­day 27th No­vem­ber 2022, has been post­poned tem­porar­i­ly in light of the im­pact of the ad­verse weath­er on sev­er­al fa­cil­i­ties of the Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty.  

DE­SAL­COTT, has agreed to en­gage in dis­cus­sions with the Au­thor­i­ty and ful­ly as­sess the im­pact of pro­longed, ad­verse weath­er con­di­tions on the na­tion­al wa­ter sup­ply grid, al­so tak­ing in­to con­sid­er­a­tion, DE­SAL­COTT’s own need for its an­nu­al, planned main­te­nance shut­down.
