Suspect arrested after making online death threats

A San Fer­nan­do man was ar­rest­ed on Mon­day, for al­leged­ly mak­ing death threats via so­cial me­dia.

The ar­rest took place as po­lice of­fi­cers con­duct­ed an in­tel­li­gence-led ex­er­cise in the South­ern Di­vi­sion, be­tween 4 am and 9 am yes­ter­day (April 1, 2024).

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, sev­er­al death threats re­port­ed­ly were made via so­cial me­dia against per­sons in the Ari­ma Po­lice Dis­trict.  Dur­ing their in­ves­ti­ga­tions, of­fi­cers from the Ari­ma Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ment (CID), along with per­son­nel from the North­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force Area North and the San Fer­nan­do CID, re­ceived in­for­ma­tion that led them to a res­i­dence lo­cat­ed at Nan­daram­s­ingh Av­enue, Philip­pine, San Fer­nan­do.

Up­on ar­rival at the lo­ca­tion, the of­fi­cers ques­tioned a man at that ad­dress con­cern­ing the al­leged death threats.

The man was sub­se­quent­ly de­tained, and then tak­en to the Ari­ma Po­lice Sta­tion for fur­ther in­quiries.
