Two of Guardian Media’s lead editors, Hema Ramkissoon and Sampson Nanton interacted with students of the Barataria RC School yesterday as part of Kids In Need of Direction’s (KIND’s) project on Acts of Random Kindness (ARK). The ongoing initiative involves going to a number of primary schools in potentially at-risk communities encouraging acts of kindness and giving students a sense of hope.

Over the past 2 decades, KIND’s work has assisted over 15,000 children and their families across Trinidad & Tobago, with resources needed to excel in their education.

KIND’s work has been to ensure that all children and their families —especially those who are most at-risk or in need—can enjoy their rights to the fullest. Its programs are designed to help remove barriers to education for those in need, as well as to provide holistic opportunities for academic, cognitive, physical, emotional, social and moral development.
