MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Five former Memphis police officers pleaded not guilty Friday to second-degree murder and other charges in the violent arrest and death of Tyre Nichols.

States in the northern plains are largely shutting down ahead of a massive winter storm that could dump up to 2 feet of snow in some areas, accompanied by strong winds and dangerously cold temperatures.

Riverine Flood Alert downgraded to YELLOW Level
The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service (TTMS) has downgraded the Riverine Flood Alert covering communities surrounding major and minor rivers and their tributaries, from ORANGE to YELLOW Level, and will be in effect until midday on Thursday.

Police are advising motorists that floodwaters have now receded from the carriageway with approximately less than a 2-inch depth still pooled on the left lane only.
